Polish hostel scam

May 21st 2009

A gang of Poles are charging their fellow countrymen £250 each for the promise of work and accommodation, then dropping them off at the capital's homeless hostels and disappearing. They had been collected from Luton, bussed down to London, and then abandoned at the hostel, all after answering the conmen's advert on the internet.
