Award-winning director Ken Loach introduced his latest film, It's A Free World, a film about the exploitation of migrant labour, with some of The Pavement's readers in the audience. As part of Poverty and Homelessness Action Week 2008 in February, Mr Loach, famous for the BBC film Cathy Come Home (1966) and his association with Shelter, showed the film and spoke at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square. The evening was hosted by Christoph Warrack, founder of Soho's Open House Film Club for the homeless. The fortnightly screenings take place at St Patrick's, Soho Square.
