Housing not voter priority...

February 06 2015
You have a voice - use it! You have a voice - use it!
...so why don't you become a voter

Housing remains outside the top 10 most important issues for voters just months before the general election, according to an influential poll.

The Ipsos Mori poll, released in late December and reported by Inside Housing, shows housing is only the 11th most important issue to voters.

Despite the growing number of activists highlighting homelessness, only 11 per cent of respondents said it was an ‘important issue’ facing Britain today. Immigration remains by far the biggest concern among voters, mentioned by 42 per cent of respondents, with the economy and the NHS both rankly highly, with 33 per cent each. Over a fifth mentioned unemployment.

The Ipsos Mori issues index is based on a sample of 970 adults.
