Musical clash in Camden

May 21 2009
Camden Calling‘s ambitious fundraiser in Kentish town will be promoted by acoustic pub gigs Camden Calling, launched as an umbrella for arts projects for the homeless, have already organized their first event - Benefit by Audio - and are raising funds to help people access the arts. The first event is on 8th August, running from 7pm to midnight at the Forum in Kentish Town. Bands performing on the night are The Thirst, Bugz in the Attic, Penny Black Remedy, Motiv, Brixton Hillbillies, New Adventures, and Redtrack. Alexis Brooks, of Camden Calling, told us: "To promote this event, we are planning to hold several acoustic gigs at pub venues and would particularly be interested to hear from any homeless that would like to play. In return, we can cover their travel and give them a free ticket for the big night itself." If you're interested, contact her by email at alexis.brooks@camden.gov.uk
